The reason why global village owners are taking action now

Just before starting this march, I contributed an article to the Hankyoreon called ‘Korea-Japan Citizens’ Walking March to Stop Radioactive Contaminated Water Discharge’. Its main parts are as follows,
“The international community seems to have been broken at some point. Now, the powerful countries that are supposed to lead the world are not playing their role at all. Although mankind created the UN in a whim, the road to getting it right still seems long. The IAEA, the Agency for the Promotion of Atomic Energy, Since when did it act like a master like this? We can no longer leave the Earth in the hands of the United States or the United Nations, which just stands by and ignores this situation.
There is no other choice. Now, the owner of the global village must step forward and correct its problems. The world has become more complex, and the demand for systems to manage global power has also increased. We must respond. We must take action and reorganize the world order. Only then is our survival possible. “This Korean-Japanese citizens’ walking march is one of the steps toward that goal.”
So, on June 18th, I stood in Gwanghwamun. And the following declaration was read: This declaration is read by attendees at the start of each march.

As we were leaving the Seoul border, National Assembly member Kang Min-jeong came and walked with us to encourage us. She supported my movement to punish the Chosun Ilbo and also co-hosted a debate at the National Assembly. She is a valuable person who carries out upright legislative activities.

While marching through the metropolitan area, an article containing the insight of a medical expert was posted on the Internet. I introduce this below.
“Asan Hyundai Hospital Director Park Hyun-seo
The most dangerous substance to the human body in Fukushima nuclear contaminated water is a radioactive isotope called cesium-137 (pronounced [Se-sium] in English). The half-life is as long as 37 years, so once 100 grams enter the human body, 50 grams remain in the human body after 37 years, 25 grams remain in the human body after 37 years, and even after another 37 years, half of that (12.5 grams) remains in the human body, which is enough for a person to die. Until then, radiation (in this case, beta rays, which are electron beams) is emitted. Beta rays emitted within the human body throughout one’s life continuously destroy every nook and cranny of the person’s body. In particular, it destroys DNA within cells, causing mutations, cell destruction, and cancer.
What is more problematic is that it destroys the DNA in the child’s reproductive cells, which can lead to decreased reproductive function and the development of malformations in the offspring. Radiation exposure to people in their 60s or 70s or older like us does not cause the extinction of the human species, but radiation exposure to infants, children, adolescents, and women of childbearing age destroys the DNA of germ cells, causing deformities and infertility, which is a shortcut to the extinction of the human race.
In particular, the germ cells of young humans with active cell division suffer tens to tens of thousands of times more germ cell damage even when exposed to the same amount of radiation compared to the somatic cells of humans in their 50s or older, where cell division is almost non-existent.
However, the Korean Atomic Energy Society and some physicists and engineers say that there is no problem because the Fukushima contaminated water is diluted with seawater because they are ignorant of marine ecology, the human body, or have betrayed their conscience. However, what people eat is not salty sea water, but sea creatures such as fish!
Radioactive substances that are dangerous to the human body, such as cesium 137 and iodine 131, are usually heavy and sink to the bottom of the coast, and the microscopic marine life that lives there becomes food for small creatures such as shrimp and becomes concentrated, and small creatures such as shrimp become more concentrated. They become food for large creatures, and eventually, enormous amounts of radioactive cesium are concentrated in the bodies of relatively large marine creatures such as sardines, salmon, pollack, octopuses, and squid throughout their lives until they die. Ultimately, if our children eat it, they will develop various cancers such as leukemia and thyroid cancer, endocrine diseases, and decreased reproductive function.
Please, scientists should not make irresponsible claims that polluted water is safe because it is diluted. “We don’t have much time left to act for our children.”

The web newsletter announcing the start included a message from lawyer Choi Bong-tae, chairman of the march’s sponsors.
“There are all victims of atomic bombs in Korea and Japan. Both countries have a historical mission to create a world without nuclear weapons. However, politicians who are the errand boys of Korea and Japan are trying to follow the path of reaction. These limitations are overcome by the sovereign citizens of both countries. “It must be done. I hope that this walking pilgrimage can serve as an opportunity to enhance democracy and the rule of law between Korea and Japan. I have no doubt that the owners of the two countries can stop it.”
