[Daily march log 0818] From Shiga Prefecture to Gifu Prefecture

0. Picture of the day is a map showing the road from Hikone City to Sekigahara via Maibara City.

00. Among them, the section that passes Samegai station and walks through the village of Nakasendo was wonderful.

1. Comrades gathered in Hikone early in the morning.

2. Today is the most difficult course of this Japanese march in terms of difficulty and distance. As you can see in the map above, there was a section where the sidewalk disappeared as we entered Route 21 and it was impossible to walk. In such a case, a comrade from Shiga Prefecture had a car on standby and let us safely move only that section. There were two such sections of about 2-3 kilometers.

3. A signboard of Nakasendo that we met on a mountain pass.

4. Thanks to that, we arrived at Samegai Station after an easy walk in the morning section. The people who continued walking with me were Mr. Katsuhiko Sakamoto and Mr. Shoichi Akiyoshi. And those who participated and supported us in the morning,
Sakamoto Katuhiko
Kimura Kikuo
Murakawa Koji
Murakawa Etoko
Kido Shinji
Akiyoshi Shoichi
Yuguchi Akiko
TominagaMisaho
Murakawa Atsuyoshi

5. Take a commemorative selfie.

6. ㅇㅇ Mr. and Mrs. ㅇㅇ couple gives me a supporting money.

7. Shoichi Akiyoshi, who walked with us for three days, is leaving. Thank you~

8. Mr. Shinji Kido takes me to the hot springs again during the daytime rest time. The hot water of this hot spring in Hikone City this time is good.

9. The carbonated spring here is my first experience. Mr. Kido took great care of me.

10. In the afternoon, a comrade from Gifu Prefecture came to Samegai Station.

Fumio Ogura

Yuriko Kondo

Hiroki Yamamoto

Then the ㅇㅇㅇ couple came.

Mr. Yamamoto wrote down a message of encouragement from Mayor Michio Hirao of Maibara City on behalf of the Mayor and relayed what he wrote to me (it is not a self-handwritten letter, so I will not introduce it here).

Mr. Inamura, who took care of my march leaving Shiga Prefecture, sent the following message to Mr. Yasuo Kuwano.
