[Daily march log 0807] Passing through Kakogawa City

0. The photo above shows citizens gathered at a rally against the release of nuclear contaminated water this evening (7th) in Daegu, South Korea.

1. First, passing through the south exit of Himeji Station,

2. Then, when I came out of the north exit,

3. I could see the famous Himeji Castle.

I looked around to see if anyone was waiting for me, but there was no one.Departing alone this morning.

4. When I arrive at Sone Station this afternoon, I can meet my comrades there.

5.

6.

7. I put off the detailed appreciation of Himeji Castle, a world cultural heritage, until another opportunity, and here I turn to Route 2 and continue the march.

8. The word Kobe catches my eye.

9. It’s hot, but it’s cloudy, so it’s not bad for walking.

10.

11. After finishing my morning schedule early,

12. I come across this webletter during breaks. This is the news of the rally to be held in Tokyo on August 18th. The decision to discharge contaminated water by a single politician without asking the people, who are the owners, for their opinions, is a kind of treasonous act. In the past, it was considered a serious crime enough to destroy the nine generations of a family.

13. Two comrades join me this afternoon. One is Midori Mihara from Kobe, and the other is Kumju Ahn from Hiroshima. Ahn san, born in Korea, married a Japanese 30 years ago and has two daughters. He helped me a lot during the march in Hiroshima last week. This time he took a leave of absence just to join this march.

14.

15. Now our marching pictures are back.

16.

17.

18.

19. Mihara-san brought a placard she made herself.

20. With middle school students I met in a village.

21. Mihara-san donates a transportation card to me.The train fare I pay every time I commute to my lodgings is rather exorbitant. But, now I have no problem with the railroad cost until departure since she donated this pass to me. thank you!

22. The slogan of this city is cool.

23. Kakogawa City, a city declared abolition of nuclear weapons

Nuclear contaminated water is not different in nature from nuclear weapons.

Kakogawa City should become the second Miyagi Prefecture.

24. We met a big river.

25.

26. Kohigashi Yukari-san (middle) from Kobe joins the team.

27.

28.

29. After walking more than 11 kilometers, we arrived at our destination, Higashi-Kakogawa Station.

30. In the evening, I ask Ahn Geum-ju san for a message.

32. Photos of Daegu’s anti-pollution discharge protest held right after the march that was announced in Daegu yesterday are live streamed. A huge crowd gathered.

After I came to my lodgings, I sent a manuscript of the news on the Silk Road denuclearization of life to the Hankyoreon for the first time in a long time. This article is closely related to the current marching movement.
